MercadoLibre, Inc. reported notable growth in its Brazilian marketplace for Q2 2026, with gross merchandise volume rising 39% year-over-year on an FX-neutral basis, slightly up from 38% in Q1 2026 and significantly ahead of 29% the previous year. Items sold increased by 56%, compared to 26% a year earlier.
Key metrics reflect stronger engagement, with items sold per unique active buyer up 19% year-over-year and a 1.1 percentage point improvement in conversion rates. Daily active users have consistently outpaced monthly active users since the company lowered its free-shipping threshold in June 2025. Active sellers grew by 29%, enhancing selection and price competitiveness.
Current financial estimates forecast a 44.6% year-over-year sales increase for the current fiscal year, with a slight decline in earnings per share of 0.7%. For the next fiscal year, sales are projected to grow 28.9%, while earnings are expected to increase by 43.3%.
