The European Commission has issued a Statement of Objections to Meta Platforms, Inc. (META) for violating EU antitrust regulations by preventing third-party Artificial Intelligence assistants from accessing WhatsApp. The Commission’s preliminary findings suggest that Meta is likely dominant in the European Economic Area, having misused its market position by denying access to other businesses.

The Commission plans to implement interim measures to prevent further market harm resulting from this policy. As of pre-market hours, META was trading at $664.17, reflecting a 0.41 percent increase on the Nasdaq.
