As a result of this update, users may see ads and recommended posts related to topics discussed with the Meta AI, such as vacation planning, which could lead to ads from travel companies appearing in their Instagram feeds. However, users will retain the ability to adjust content preferences using Ads Preferences and other feed controls.
Importantly, Meta clarified that sensitive topics, including religious views, sexual orientation, political views, health, and others, will not be used for ad targeting purposes.
