Meta’s Muse AI Surges in Popularity
Meta Platforms launched its Muse AI agent earlier this month, experiencing rapid adoption that outpaces ChatGPT during its initial release. In just 12 days post-launch, Muse garnered 1.8 million downloads from the Apple App Store in the U.S. and Canada, surpassing ChatGPT’s 1.3 million downloads in the same timeframe. Total downloads, including Android, reached 2.8 million, with Muse maintaining a rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars from over 36,000 reviews.
As of now, Muse has 642,000 daily active users, significantly higher than ChatGPT’s 231,000 during its initial launch period. The app has become the most downloaded free app across both iOS and Android platforms. Businesses like Shopify and PayPal are partnering with Meta to integrate Muse into their services, indicating strong interest from the retail and fintech sectors.
The potential for monetization is substantial, with subscription tiers priced at $20 and $100 monthly. If just 1% of Meta’s 3.6 billion users subscribe to the $20 tier, the company could yield over $8.6 billion in additional annual revenue.
