Microsoft reported fiscal year-end revenue of $90.0 billion, marking an 18% increase, and a non-GAAP diluted EPS of $4.74, up 23%, comfortably exceeding Zacks Consensus Estimates of $87.44 billion and $4.21. Following this announcement, Microsoft’s shares rose approximately 15% in early trading on Thursday.
Key growth was evident in Microsoft’s cloud services, with Azure revenue increasing 43%, surpassing $100 billion for the first time. Overall, Microsoft Cloud revenue reached $59.3 billion, up 27%. Free cash flow for the quarter stood at $19.6 billion, down from $25.6 billion a year ago, while operating cash flow increased 30% to $55.4 billion.
For the full fiscal year, Microsoft achieved revenue of $331.8 billion, an 18% increase, with operating income rising 21%. Despite some margin compression, management reported expanding operating margins of 45.1% and significant demand indicated by a commercial remaining performance obligation of $678 billion.
