Microsoft Reports Record Azure Revenue
Microsoft Azure’s cloud revenue reached a record $100 billion in fiscal 2026, a 33% increase from the previous year. The company also saw its paid Copilot subscriptions rise to 30 million, marking a nearly 50% jump from April 2026, driven by significant investments in artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure.
Despite elevated capital expenditures of $175 billion, Microsoft’s free cash flow remains robust at $19.6 billion, down only 23% year-over-year, showcasing resilience compared to peers like Meta and Alphabet, which reported much steeper declines in free cash flow. Investors responded positively to these results, with shares surging by double-digit percentages following the earnings announcement.
