Microsoft Announces New Azure Revenue Reporting
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) is set to begin reporting quarterly revenue from its Azure cloud services, a move aimed at enhancing transparency and investor confidence. This change comes as the company restructures its reporting segments, consolidating them from three to two with a stronger emphasis on artificial intelligence.
Last quarter, Azure’s growth accelerated, boosting Microsoft’s stock significantly. The projected revenue for the Agents and Infra segment is expected to exceed $75 billion for Q1 of fiscal 2027, compared to around $15 billion for the Devices and Consumer segment. This shift reflects Microsoft’s commitment to its AI strategy and could impact its stock performance positively.
