Corn futures are experiencing losses of 5 to 7 cents on Friday. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price has dropped 6.5 cents to $3.84 1/2. This decline is compounded by crude oil losses of $3.01.
The latest Weekly Export Sales data shows U.S. corn export commitments at 81.766 million metric tons (MMT), a 26% increase from the same week last year, representing 98% of the USDA’s export projection. Corn shipments are at 62.58 MMT, accounting for 75% of the USDA estimate and matching the average sales pace.
Additionally, Brazilian corn exports reached 250,449 MT in May, significantly higher than 38,928 MT in May 2025. The Buenos Aires Grains Exchange reports that Argentina has harvested 40.6% of its corn crop, maintaining its production estimate at 64 MMT.
