The Global X PureCap MSCI Information Technology ETF (GXPT) experienced an unprecedented trading volume on Wednesday, surpassing 2.3 million shares compared to its three-month average of approximately 132,000 shares. Despite this surge, GXPT shares declined by about 0.9% on the day.
Leading the ETF’s activity were Intel and Nvidia, with Intel down 2.5% and over 68.9 million shares traded, while Nvidia saw a decrease of 2.1% on over 66.7 million shares. In contrast, Cognizant Technology Solutions rose by approximately 11%, making it the top performer among the ETF’s components, while IREN lagged with an 8.9% drop.
