The iShares U.S. Pharmaceuticals ETF (IHE) experienced unusually high trading volume on Monday, with over 670,000 shares exchanged, significantly exceeding its three-month average of about 47,000 shares. The ETF saw a rise of approximately 1.3% during the day.
Leading the volume within the ETF, Pfizer traded up about 1.4% with over 20.4 million shares changing hands, while Merck increased by approximately 4% with more than 11.4 million shares. Nektar Therapeutics had the highest gain, rising 8.4%, while Organon lagged behind, trading down by about 2.7%.
