Nebius Group N.V. (NBIS) has announced plans to invest approximately £1.7 billion to expand its AI compute capacity in the UK. This investment will establish three new sites with advanced NVIDIA-powered infrastructure and is one of the largest commitments to AI infrastructure in the country. The first deployment is expected to be operational by late 2025, with full operations projected for 2027, delivering a total of 65 MW of AI computing capacity.

This initiative aligns with the UK government’s AI Opportunities Action Plan and includes a partnership with Kao Data, where Nebius will deploy 22 MW of AI infrastructure at their Harlow data center campus under a 10-year contract. This deployment is set to contribute significantly to enhancing the UK’s domestic AI capabilities.

Nebius is working towards establishing itself as a leading AI cloud provider and has recently integrated with several AI-focused companies to enhance its services. Its stock has gained 160.5% year to date, compared to an 11.5% increase in the Internet–Software and Services industry.
