The series BEEF Season 2 led Netflix’s count with 16 nominations, while The Beast in Me received multiple nods. Notably, Rafa marked the first non-English-language documentary series to be nominated in its category.
In financial metrics for the first quarter, Netflix reported a 16% year-over-year revenue growth alongside an 18% rise in operating income, totaling over 325 million paid memberships. The company anticipates full-year revenue between $50.7 billion and $51.7 billion, with a target operating margin of 31.5% and advertising revenues expected to double to around $3 billion.
In comparison, Warner Bros. Discovery’s HBO Max led the Emmy nominations, buoyed by The Pitt (26 nominations) and the final season of Hacks (25 nominations). Apple TV also achieved a record 89 nominations, showcasing the growing competition in streaming.
