Oklo Inc. (OKLO) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Centrus Energy Corp. (LEU) to secure enough domestically produced high-assay low-enriched uranium (HALEU) to fuel up to five Aurora powerhouses for multiple years, with deliveries expected to start in 2029 from Centrus’ American Centrifuge Plant in Pike County, OH. This agreement addresses critical fuel supply challenges in the advanced nuclear sector and aligns with Oklo’s plans for a 1.2-gigawatt Clean Energy Campus in southern Ohio.

Additionally, Oklo has partnered with Kiewit Nuclear Solutions to assist in engineering, procurement, and construction planning for the Aurora powerhouses. The multi-year project is anticipated to require over 700 full-time construction workers, creating around 1,000 construction jobs and 300 operating positions through Centrus’ expansion. The collaboration also aims to bolster America’s nuclear fuel independence, enhancing domestic production capabilities amidst growing demand from advanced reactor developers.
