Key Highlights on Nvidia and Intel Revenues
Nvidia has significantly outperformed Intel in terms of revenue, posting a remarkable 73% year-over-year increase in revenue in the fiscal fourth quarter, reaching $26 billion. In contrast, Intel’s revenue grew 7% year-over-year to $12.8 billion in its first quarter of 2024, marking its highest growth in eight quarters. However, Intel’s net income margin stands at -31%, compared to Nvidia’s robust 63%.
Looking forward, Nvidia’s quarterly revenues are projected to increase steadily, potentially reaching $68.1 billion by January 2026, while Intel is anticipated to maintain more modest growth, with forecasts of $12.7 billion to $14.3 billion in the same period. The stark difference illustrates a widening revenue gap between the two companies as Nvidia continues to dominate the market for graphics processing units (GPUs), driven by demand in the AI sector.
As of April 2026, Nvidia’s trailing-12-month revenue totals nearly $188 billion, dwarfing Intel’s $53 billion. With a continually expanding semiconductor market projected to reach $1 trillion, Intel is striving to stabilize its position amidst growing AI-driven demand for both GPUs and CPUs.
