Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is expanding its leadership in artificial intelligence by entering the CPU market, announcing the launch of its Nvidia Vera CPU during the GPU Technology Conference (GTC) held in Taipei this week. CEO Jensen Huang highlighted that the Vera CPU, developed for agentic AI applications, is up to 1.8 times faster than traditional x86 processors and is already in production.
The global AI PC market is projected to grow from $58 billion in 2025 to $321 billion by 2035, presenting Nvidia with a new total addressable market worth $200 billion. The company expects nearly $20 billion in CPU revenue this year, aiming to cement its position as a leading CPU supplier. Nvidia’s RTX Spark AI superchip for personal computers will debut later this year, enhancing its offerings in the AI market.
In its latest fiscal quarter ending April 26, Nvidia reported record revenue of $81.6 billion, marking an 85% year-over-year increase, driven by data center revenues of $75 billion (up 92%). With management forecasting Q2 revenue growth of 95%, Nvidia’s stock remains appealing, trading at 34 times earnings and 25 times forward earnings.
