Jensen Huang Showcases Nvidia’s Future at CES 2025
Event Overview: On Monday evening, Nvidia Corporation NVDA CEO Jensen Huang delivered a keynote at CES 2025, live-streamed from the Mandalay Bay Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. While the venue has a normal capacity of 12,000, Nvidia aimed to accommodate up to 14,000 attendees by utilizing the center space of the arena.
Dressed in his signature leather jacket, now with a shiny crocodile pattern, Huang engaged the audience with his playful banter, asking if they liked his outfit, stating, “Let it sink in.”
Product Launches: The keynote’s centerpiece was the unveiling of the new GeForce RTX 5000 graphics card series. This lineup includes the high-performance $1,999 RTX 5090, $999 RTX 5080, $749 RTX 5070 Ti, and $549 RTX 5070.
Scheduled for release on January 30, the RTX 5090 and RTX 5080 will feature an innovative Founders Edition design with dual double flow-through fans, a 3D vapor chamber, and advanced GDDR7 memory.
Specifically, the RTX 5090 Founders Edition is designed for compact PC builds, offering 32GB of GDDR7 memory and an extraordinary memory bandwidth of 1,792GB/sec. It boasts 21,760 CUDA cores and is projected to be twice as fast as the RTX 4090, thanks to its DLSS 4 and Blackwell architecture enhancements.

The RTX 50 series is heading to laptops as well, with the $2,899 RTX 5090 laptop GPU featuring 24GB of GDDR7 memory. Other options include the $2,199 RTX 5080 (16GB), $1,599 RTX 5070 Ti (12GB), and the $1,299 RTX 5070 (8GB), available this March from various PC manufacturers.
Additionally, Huang introduced the Grace Blackwell NVLink 72, a remarkable system with 72 Blackwell GPUs, 2,592 Grace CPU cores, and a staggering 130 trillion transistors. This system is designed to deliver four times the performance per watt, essential for powering advanced Agentic AIs that require real-time reasoning for decision-making.
In a humorous segment, Huang attempted to mimic Captain America from “Avengers Endgame,” quipping, “I thought I was worthy,” which resonated with the audience.
Stock Market Reaction: Following the event, Nvidia’s stock rose by 3.43%, closing at $149.43. In after-hours trading, it further increased by 0.57%, reaching $150.28, according to Benzinga Pro.
