Nvidia Faces Market Pressure Amid AI Spending Concerns

Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA), the leading chipmaker known for its AI technology, has seen its stock drop by 8% in recent months as investors question the sustainability of AI spending amidst market volatility. In contrast, Apple has gained 27% over the same period, reclaiming its status as the world’s most valuable company.

Despite Nvidia’s current challenges, CEO Jensen Huang predicts total AI spending may reach $1 trillion next year and $3-$4 trillion by 2030, potentially generating $1 trillion in revenue from upcoming product lines through 2027. Major clients like Alphabet and Amazon are expected to invest significantly in AI infrastructure, reassuring investors about Nvidia’s long-term prospects.

However, analysts caution that if Nvidia’s revenue growth slows, the stock’s valuation may decline, as it currently trades at 19 times trailing-12-month sales. Investors are advised to temper their expectations for Nvidia in the near term.
