Nvidia Reports Record Revenue Growth
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) reported a remarkable 71% increase in trailing-12-month revenue, reaching $253 billion, with quarterly revenue growth accelerating from 56% a year ago to 85% in the latest quarter. This growth surge occurred in the fiscal first quarter ended April 26, 2027, when Nvidia’s revenue hit $81.6 billion—over the entire revenue generated in fiscal 2024. The company anticipates $91 billion in revenue for the upcoming quarter, nearly double the $46.7 billion recorded in the same period last year.
The company’s significant revenue boost was largely driven by its data center business, which grew 92% year-over-year to $75.2 billion. In addition to strong sales, Nvidia’s gross margin approached 75%, and adjusted earnings per share rose 140% to $1.87. The company also announced a quarterly dividend increase from $0.01 to $0.25 per share and authorized an $80 billion stock buyback, highlighting its strong cash generation capabilities.
Despite the impressive growth, Nvidia’s stock trades at about 21 times forward earnings, suggesting the market expects growth to decelerate soon. Currently, shares are priced around $210, below their peak of $236.54 over the past year. Analysts express caution, indicating that if growth aligns with Nvidia’s optimistic guidance, investors could benefit from a potentially undervalued stock.
