Ongoing Corn Losses Reported on Thursday

Corn futures are experiencing a continued decline, falling another 8 to 9 cents at midday, with July contracts priced at $4.22 ¾. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price is currently at $3.88 ¼, also down 8 ¾ cents.

The USDA reported a private export sale of 115,000 metric tons of corn to Colombia for the 2026/27 shipping season. Weekly export sales data indicated 883,332 metric tons in old crop corn sales for the week ending May 28, which was below trade estimates of 0.9 to 1.5 million metric tons and 13% lower than the previous week.

In Brazil, corn exports for May reached 250,449 metric tons, significantly surpassing the 38,928 metric tons exported in May 2025. Forecasts suggest precipitation in parts of the Eastern Corn Belt over the next week.
