The wheat complex experienced losses on Thursday, with CBT futures down by 5 to 6 cents. Kansas City contracts dropped slightly, down by up to 2 cents, while MPLS spring wheat also saw fractional declines.
On September 25, CBOT wheat is priced at $5.18 3/4, a decrease of 5 cents, while the December 25 CBOT wheat stands at $5.38 1/4, down 6 cents. Additionally, the USDA reported a private export sale of 100,000 metric tons of HRW wheat to Nigeria for the current marketing year, against a total of 592,119 metric tons of wheat sold in the week ending July 24, which fell within trade estimates of 300,000 to 700,000 metric tons.
