**Pre-Market Futures and Durable Goods Orders Update – July 27, 2026**

Pre-market futures are showing positive movement this morning, with the Dow up +580 points (+1.1%), the S&P 500 up +60 points (+0.81%), and the Nasdaq leading at +357 points (+1.26%). Factors contributing to this uptick include a reduction in tensions around Iran, which has lowered spot oil prices. In other news, CXMT Corp., formerly ChangXin Memory Technology, debuted on the Shanghai STAR exchange with a remarkable +466% increase in its first day of trading, marking it as the largest semiconductor company in the exchange’s history.

For June, durable goods orders increased by +0.3%, falling short of the anticipated +2%. This marks the third positive print in four months, following a -4.5% decline in May. Notably, shipments surged by +1.9%, the best performance since 2021, while non-defense, ex-aircraft orders rose by +0.9%—20 basis points above projections.

This week, the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) will meet to discuss monetary policy, with a strong likelihood that the current Fed funds rate of 3.50-3.75% will remain unchanged. Rising oil prices may influence the potential for a rate hike later this year.
