Verisk Analytics, Inc. (VRSK) reported a 13.9% increase in shares over the past year, outpacing the 9.1% growth of its industry and 8.3% of the S&P 500. Revenues for Q1 2025 reached $753 million, a 7.0% year-over-year rise, driven by strong underwriting and claims segments.

Looking ahead, revenue is projected to increase by 6.7% in 2025 and 7% in 2026, while earnings are expected to rise by 6.2% and 11%, respectively. However, the company faces challenges with a 42% surge in operating expenses in 2023 and another 4.8% rise anticipated in 2024, which could affect profit margins going forward.

Verisk has committed over $188 million annually in dividends since 2021 and significantly increased its share repurchase program from $475 million in 2021 to $2.8 billion in 2023, with over $250 million returned to shareholders in Q1 2025 alone.
