The Hoya Capital High Dividend Yield ETF experienced significant trading activity on Friday afternoon, with over 874,000 shares exchanged. This figure stands in stark contrast to the three-month average volume of roughly 109,000 shares. As a result, shares of the ETF, known by its ticker RIET, increased approximately 0.7% during the session.

Among the ETF’s components, Medical Properties Trust emerged as a top performer, advancing about 3.9% with more than 18.7 million shares traded. AGNC Investment also saw notable activity, climbing approximately 0.9% with more than 9.1 million shares changing hands. The standout for the day was Ellington Financial, which surged by around 7.7%. On the other hand, National Storage Affiliates lagged behind, trading lower by about 2.3%.
