Royal Caribbean Group (RCL) has ascended to the 158th position in the S&P 500, surpassing Ross Stores Inc (ROST), according to The Online Investor. As of the latest figures, RCL’s market capitalization stands at $74.44 billion, compared to ROST’s $70.07 billion.
On Wednesday, RCL’s stock closed up approximately 2.5% while ROST increased by about 1.5%. Market capitalization is crucial for investors as it provides a true comparison of company values, factoring in the number of shares outstanding, and influences mutual fund and ETF investment decisions based on company size.
