Samuel L. Molinaro Jr. Joins ISG Board as Audit Chair

Retired president of UBS Americas to chair audit committee

Information Services Group (ISG) III, a global technology research and advisory firm focusing on AI, announced today that Samuel L. Molinaro Jr. will join its board of directors, effective March 14.

Bringing over 30 years of experience in the banking and financial services sector, Molinaro has a notable track record of leading significant technological transformations for major firms. He will take over as chair of the ISG board’s audit committee from Neil G. Budnick, who is retiring after a 14-year tenure on the board.

Molinaro, who retired from UBS Americas Holdings in 2023, served for 11 years in various senior executive roles within the firm. After leaving UBS, he became a senior advisor in banking and securities at McKinsey & Company in 2024. Additionally, he remains actively involved with UBS Americas Holdings as a board member and audit committee member.

Prior to his time at UBS, Molinaro held prominent positions, including executive vice president, chief financial officer, and chief operating officer at Bear Stearns. His career began as an auditor at PwC.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. Bonaventure University, supplemented by participation in the Advanced Management program at Harvard Business School.

Michael P. Connors, chairman and chief executive officer of ISG, expressed enthusiasm about Molinaro’s appointment: “We are delighted to welcome Sam to the ISG board of directors. He brings tremendous experience and proven results as a business leader in financial services, which is one of our largest client segments. We look forward to his valuable contributions as we leverage AI for growth in our industry and build ISG for long-term success and shareholder value.”

Regarding Budnick’s retirement, Connors noted, “Neil has served ISG with distinction since 2011, providing wise counsel and varied contributions to our growth. His presence will be missed, and we wish him all the best in his next endeavors.”
