SE Q2 Earnings Show Revenue Growth Despite Rising Costs and Missed Estimates

Sea Limited reported adjusted earnings of 86 cents per share for Q2 2026, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 14%. However, reported earnings increased 7.7% year over year to 70 cents. The company recorded revenues of $7.8 billion, a 48.1% year-over-year increase, surpassing the consensus estimate by 6.39%. Key growth drivers included the e-commerce platform Shopee, which generated $5.59 billion in revenue, and digital financial services from Monee, which rose to $1.40 billion.

In terms of operational metrics, adjusted EBITDA reached $288.0 million for Monee, with consumer and SME loans outstanding growing 62.5% year over year to $11.1 billion. Total gross orders for Shopee increased 27.5% to 4.2 billion, while average monthly active buyers rose 18%. Despite higher sales and marketing expenses, operating income increased by 33.3% to $650.3 million, and net income rose 10.6% to $458.1 million. As of June 30, 2026, Sea Limited held $3.53 billion in cash and cash equivalents and repurchased 4.7 million shares during the quarter.
