The Global X Silver Miners ETF (SIL) experienced a significant inflow of approximately $194.2 million, representing a 4.0% week-over-week increase in outstanding units, rising from 57,877,318 to 60,217,318. This increase was recorded today, highlighting strong investor interest in the ETF focused on silver mining companies.
Key components of SIL, including Wheaton Precious Metals Corp (WPM), Pan American Silver Corp (PAAS), and First Majestic Silver Corp (AG), saw price increases of about 6%, 5%, and 10.2%, respectively. The current share price of SIL stands at $88.14, within a 52-week range of $31.60 to $90.29.
The recent surge in SIL’s units indicates a robust demand, prompting potential impacts on its underlying mining holdings.
