The iShares U.S. Basic Materials ETF (IYM) experienced a significant outflow of approximately $157.7 million in the past week, marking a 12.8% decrease in shares outstanding—from 6,650,000 to 5,800,000. This decrease occurred amid fluctuations in the ETF’s underlying components, with Fastenal Co. (FAST) rising about 1%, while Nucor Corp. (NUE) and AngloGold Ashanti plc (AU) fell by approximately 0.7% and 0.3%, respectively.

Currently, the IYM’s share price is trading at $186.19, well within its 52-week range of $139.08 to $191.37. This performance is being monitored closely as changes in shares outstanding can impact the individual components held within the ETF.
