Significant ETF Outflows Highlight Market Trends
In the past week, ETFs have experienced notable shifts in unit counts, reflecting changing investor sentiments.
Among the ETFs tracked by ETF Channel, the MSTU ETF (MSTU) faced the highest outflow, with 7,060,000 units removed, translating to a 4.1% decrease from the previous week.
In terms of percentage change, the SPDR S&P Retail ETF (XRT) saw the most dramatic outflow, losing 1,650,000 units, which marks a staggering 34.0% drop in outstanding units since last week. In today’s morning trading session, two major components of the XRT—Maplebear (CART) and Sprouts Farmers Market (SFM)—are experiencing declines, down approximately 0.6% and 16%, respectively.
