Significant ETF Withdrawals Observed in XLE, SLB, WMB, and VLO

The State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) experienced a significant outflow of approximately $556.2 million, equating to a 1.3% decrease in shares outstanding, from 703,498,400 to 694,148,400. This change was noted in the week prior. As of today, the ETF’s last trading price was $58.80, hovering between a 52-week low of $40.44 and a high of $63.46.

Among XLE’s major holdings, SLB Ltd (SLB) rose by 1.6%, while Williams Cos Inc (WMB) fell by 1.7%, and Valero Energy Corp (VLO) declined by 1.3%. This downward pressure on XLE may also impact the underlying components due to the nature of ETF unit trading.
