Significant Friday Options Trading Insights: SHOO, IIPR, LDOS

On October 4, significant options trading was reported for three companies included in the Russell 3000 index. Steven Madden Ltd. (SHOO) recorded a total of 20,250 contracts traded, approximately 2.0 million shares, which is about 220% of its average daily volume of 920,415 shares over the last month. Notably, 9,800 contracts of the $30 strike call option expiring December 19, 2025, contributed to this high volume.

Innovative Industrial Properties Inc (IIPR) saw 4,245 contracts traded, representing around 424,500 shares—146% of its average monthly volume of 290,805 shares. The $60 strike call option set to expire January 16, 2026, had 708 contracts traded.

Leidos Holdings Inc (LDOS) also experienced notable activity with 7,979 contracts changing hands, equating to approximately 797,900 shares, or roughly 101.9% of its average daily volume of 783,165 shares. Particularly, 3,680 contracts of the $150 strike call option set to expire December 19, 2025, were traded.
