Among S&P 500 components, significant options trading was observed on October 4, 2023. SanDisk Corp (SNDK) reported a total of 108,172 contracts traded, equating to about 10.8 million underlying shares, which is 71.3% of its average daily trading volume of 15.2 million. The $1800 strike call option expiring May 29, 2026, saw particularly high activity, with 3,535 contracts traded, representing approximately 353,500 shares.

Oracle Corp (ORCL) also experienced notable volume, with 146,752 contracts traded, amounting to around 14.7 million shares, or 68.4% of its average daily volume of 21.5 million. The $210 strike call option for ORCL had 15,469 contracts traded, indicating about 1.5 million underlying shares.

United Parcel Service Inc (UPS) recorded trading of 44,955 contracts, representing about 4.5 million shares, or 68% of its average daily volume of 6.6 million. The $107 strike call option for UPS saw 24,749 contracts traded, corresponding to approximately 2.5 million underlying shares.
