Freeport-McMoRan Copper & Gold (FCX) experienced significant options trading on October 3, 2023, with a total volume of 107,031 contracts, equivalent to approximately 10.7 million underlying shares. This activity accounts for 74.5% of FCX’s average daily trading volume of 14.4 million shares over the past month. Notably, the $70 strike call option expiring July 17, 2026, saw 21,142 contracts traded, representing about 2.1 million underlying shares.

Westrock Coffee Co (WEST) also saw substantial options volume today, with 5,220 contracts traded, representing around 522,000 underlying shares, or 71.1% of its average daily trading volume of 734,660 shares. The $8 strike put option expiring August 21, 2026, accounted for 5,216 contracts.

Circle Internet Group Inc (CRCL) reported 80,914 contracts traded, roughly equivalent to 8.1 million underlying shares, or 61.4% of its average daily trading volume of 13.2 million shares. The specific option of interest was the $73 strike put expiring June 26, 2026, with 6,010 contracts traded, representing about 601,000 underlying shares.
