Significant ETF Outflows: iShares Russell 2000 and TappAlpha SPY Hit Hard
Within the landscape of exchange-traded funds (ETFs) tracked by ETF Channel, the most notable outflow comes from the iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM). This ETF experienced a decline of 15,150,000 units, which equates to a 4.8% decrease compared to the previous week. In morning trading today, two of its prominent components, Sprouts Farmers Market and Insmed, saw gains of approximately 2.7% and 0.8%, respectively.
On a percentage basis, the TappAlpha SPY Growth and Daily Income ETF (TSPY) suffered the largest outflow, shedding 560,000 units. This downturn represents a significant 34.6% drop in outstanding units from the week before. Notably, among its key components, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF recorded a morning increase of about 3.2% today.
