Significant Wednesday Options Trading: DDOG, WMT, DASH

On the trading front today, notable options volume was observed among several companies in the S&P 500 index. Datadog Inc (DDOG) reported a total of 52,854 contracts traded, equivalent to approximately 5.3 million underlying shares, which is about 102% of its average daily trading volume of 5.2 million shares. The $155 strike call option expiring August 08, 2025, saw particularly high activity with 6,599 contracts traded, representing roughly 659,900 underlying shares.

Walmart Inc (WMT) recorded 130,426 options contracts traded, or around 13.0 million underlying shares, amounting to 93.8% of its monthly average of 13.9 million shares. The $102 strike call option, also expiring August 08, 2025, had 9,624 contracts traded, covering approximately 962,400 underlying shares.

DoorDash Inc (DASH) experienced options trading volume of 22,685 contracts, representing about 2.3 million underlying shares, which is 82% of its average daily trading volume of 2.8 million shares. The $277.50 strike call option expiring August 08, 2025, had 1,699 contracts traded, covering approximately 169,900 underlying shares.
