On Thursday, soybean prices increased by 5 to 6 cents across the front months, with the cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price reaching $9.38 3/4. Soymeal futures rose by 60 to 80 cents, while Soy Oil gained 26 to 30 points in nearby trading.
In the Western Corn Belt, harvest activities are expected to continue next week, although the Eastern Corn Belt may experience delays due to anticipated rainfall of 1-3 inches. Export Sales data, which is delayed due to the government shutdown, was anticipated to show between 0.4 and 1.4 million metric tons (MMT) in soybean sales for the week of October 9, with bean meal sales between 150,000 and 400,000 MT.
As of now, November 25 soybeans are priced at $10.12 1/2 (up 6 cents), and nearby cash stands at $9.38 3/4 (also up 6 cents). January 26 soybeans are at $10.30 (up 5 3/4 cents), while March 26 soybeans are at $10.45 3/4 (up 6 cents).
