Soybean Prices Decline as Products Weigh Down Market on Thursday

Soybean prices are experiencing significant declines on Thursday, with trading down 29 to 31 cents. The cmdtyView national average cash price for soybeans is reported at $10.64 1/4, a decrease of 30 1/4 cents. Soymeal futures are down $8.50 to $9, while soy oil futures have fallen by 220 to 250 points.

Export sales data show old crop soybean sales at 276,852 metric tons (MT), positioned in the expected range of 100,000 to 500,000 MT, but marking a three-week low—yet still 42.45% above the same week last year. For the 2026/27 crop year, sales reached 243,000 MT, higher than anticipated. Other sales included bean meal at 231,752 MT and bean oil at just 27 MT.

In Brazil, soybean exports reached 14.825 million metric tons in May, an increase from 14.099 million MT the previous year. Weather forecasts indicate that parts of the Eastern Corn Belt may receive precipitation over the next seven days.
