Soybean Prices Decline by Tuesday’s End

On January 26, soybean prices fell, with Jan 26 Soybeans closing at $10.42, down 5 1/4 cents. Nearby Cash saw a decline to $9.82 1/4, also down 5 cents. Soymeal futures rose between 20 cents to $1.30, while Soy Oil futures decreased by 38 to 47 points.

In trade news, China purchased 10 cargoes of U.S. soybeans for shipment between March and May, confirmed by a USDA report citing a 336,000 MT private export sale to China. Total soybean commitments now stand at 27.698 MMT, reflecting a 31% decline year-over-year, which is only 51% of USDA’s projections.

Additonally, Brazilian soybean exports reached 3.38 MMT in December, marking a 68.6% increase from December 2024 but a 19.4% decrease from November.
