Soybean Prices Decline in Thursday Morning Market

On Thursday morning, soybean futures are seeing losses between 2 to 5.5 cents, following a drop of 10 to 16.75 cents in Wednesday’s trading session. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price is at $11.27. Open interest decreased by 8,142 contracts, although November futures saw an increase of 4,479 contracts. Meanwhile, soymeal futures fell by 30 cents to $3.10, and soy oil futures dropped by 139 to 189 points. Crude oil prices also fell $6.06, attributed to easing tensions between the U.S. and Iran.

Export sales data expected later today estimates 200,000 to 500,000 metric tons of soybean sales for 2025/26 for the last week of April. New crop sales are projected between 0 to 100,000 metric tons, and soybean meal sales are anticipated between 150,000 to 450,000 metric tons.

In related data, Stats Canada reported canola stocks at 9.985 million metric tons as of the end of March, marking a 27.4% increase from the previous year, while soybean stocks decreased by 45.7% to 1.497 million metric tons.
