Soybean Prices Decline in Thursday Morning Trading

Soybean futures are experiencing declines of 4 to 5 cents on Thursday, following a previous day where gains ranged from 20 to 28.5 cents across most contracts. The USDA announced a private export sale of 333,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for the 2026/27 marketing year. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price has increased by 28.5 cents, reaching $12.30.

The weekly Export Sales report, to be released later today, is expected to show net sales of old crop beans for the week of August 20 in a range from net cancellations of 200,000 metric tons to 200,000 metric tons in sales. New crop soy sales are projected between 1.5 and 3 million metric tons. Additionally, China’s Sinograin sold 222,782 metric tons of imported soybeans during its Wednesday auction.
