Soybean Market Experiences Slight Declines Ahead of Weekend
Soybeans are trading with losses ranging from 2 to 4 cents as midday approaches on Thursday, closing out the week. CmdtyView’s national front month cash bean price has dropped by 4 ¼ cents, now standing at $9.82 ½. Meanwhile, soymeal futures are down $1.80 per ton, while soybean oil futures have increased by 35 points. Notably, the CME will be closed on Friday in observance of Good Friday, following a standard closing on Thursday and reopening on Sunday night.
Latest USDA Export Sales Data
The USDA released export sales data this morning, revealing a total of 554,806 metric tons (MT) of soybeans sold during the week ending April 10. This figure is situated within analysts’ expectations of 100,000 to 800,000 MT and marks a five-week high. Mexico was the primary buyer, purchasing 156,800 MT, followed by 127,100 MT sold to the Netherlands. However, an unknown destination reported net reductions of 170,000 MT, most of which were switched to other destinations. Sales for the 2025/26 marketing year surpassed estimates, reaching 181,757 MT from a forecast of 0-150,000 MT, largely attributed to unknown destinations.

Soy Sales Breakdown
As for soybean meal, sales amounted to 155,045 MT, landing on the lower end of the estimated range between 145,000 and 450,000 MT. Similarly, bean oil sales reached 12,506 MT, aligning with estimates of 0 to 50,000 MT and reflecting the lowest volume seen in nine weeks.
Argentina Soybean Crop Report
The Buenos Aires Grains Exchange has estimated that 4.9% of the Argentine soybean crop has been harvested, significantly trailing the average pace of 31% for this time of year.

May 25 Soybeans are priced at $10.35 ¼, down 3 ½ cents.
Nearby Cash stands at $9.82 ½, down 4 ¼ cents.
July 25 Soybeans are at $10.46 ¾, down 3 ½ cents.
November 25 Soybeans are priced at $10.32, down 2 ¼ cents.
New Crop Cash is at $9.69 ¼, down 3 ½ cents.
