Soybean contracts are up 2 to 4 cents at midday on Thursday, with the cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price rising by 2 cents to $12.64 ¾. Soymeal futures increased by $9 to $11.30, while Soy Oil is down 75 to 80 points.
The USDA’s Export Sales report for the week of September 10 shows 1.7 million metric tons (MMT) of soybean sales for 2026/27, exceeding analysts’ estimates of 0.9-2.4 MMT and nearly doubling sales from the same week last year. Soybean meal bookings totaled 210,507 MT, while bean oil amounted to 4,372 MT, amid varying estimates of net cancellations and combined sales.
The NOAA 7-day forecast predicts heavy rains across parts of South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas through Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio, which may hinder early harvest progress.
