Soybean futures experienced a decline during the final stretch of 2025, with January contracts closing down 4.5 cents at $10.58 3/4. The market saw a decrease in open interest by 33,358 contracts, primarily in January. Meanwhile, the national average cash bean price increased by 4 cents to $9.88 1/2. Soymeal futures dropped by 50 cents to $1 per ton, while soy oil futures decreased by 30 to 35 points.

The downward trend was noted on Friday due to lighter trading volumes occasioned by the holiday season. The USDA is set to release the next Export Sales report for the week ending December 18 on Wednesday, following a delay attributed to the holiday schedule.
