Soybean prices experienced weakness on Tuesday, declining by 2 to 3 cents. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price is reported at $9.30 ¾, down 3 cents. Soymeal futures increased by $0.50 per ton, while Soy Oil rose by 7 to 12 points.
Export Inspections data for the week ending October 9 revealed that 994,008 metric tons (36.52 million bushels) of soybeans were shipped, representing a 26.9% increase from the previous week, but a 49.9% decrease from the same week last year. Mexico was the leading destination with 195,947 metric tons, followed by Spain (182,090 metric tons) and Bangladesh (117,598 metric tons). Cumulatively, marketing year shipments have totaled 4.04 million metric tons (148.45 million bushels), marking a 26% year-over-year drop.
Looking ahead, NOPA crush data is set to be released on Wednesday, detailing September’s crush figures. Meanwhile, Brazil anticipates a slight decrease in soybean production for the 2025/26 season at 177.64 million metric tons.
