Soybean Prices Rise in Morning Trading on Friday

Soybean futures are trading 2 to 4.5 cents higher on Friday morning, following a gain of 1.75 to 5.5 cents in Thursday’s session. The cmdtyView national average cash price for soybeans has risen by 2.25 cents to $11.00 1/4, while soymeal futures increased by 30 cents to $2.30, and soy oil futures rose by 42 to 96 points. Open interest increased by 6,257 contracts.

Export sales data released on Thursday reported 668,901 MT in sales for the 2025/26 marketing year, marking a 15.42% decrease from the same week last year. Notably, China purchased 263,000 MT, while sales to Germany and Mexico were 201,500 MT and 164,100 MT, respectively. Additionally, meal sales reached the highest level since mid-December at 507,601 MT, surpassing expectations.

Looking ahead, NASS will release its March intentions data on Tuesday, with analysts anticipating soybean plantings of 85.55 million acres this spring, an increase of 4.33 million acres from last year.
