On Thursday, May 26, soybean prices increased, with front-month futures rising between 1 ¾ to 5 ½ cents. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price increased by 2 ¼ cents to $11.00 ¼. Soymeal futures gained 30 cents to $2.30, while Soy Oil futures rose by 42 to 96 points.
Export sales data reported 668,901 MT for the 2025/26 marketing year, marking a 15.42% decline from the same week last year. Notably, China purchased 263,000 MT (260,000 MT switched from unknown), with additional sales of 201,500 MT to Germany and 164,100 MT to Mexico. New crop sales totaled 27,000 MT, including 25,000 MT to unknown and 2,000 MT to Taiwan.
The highest meal sales since mid-December reached 507,601 MT, surpassing estimates of 150,000-400,000 MT. NASS March intentions data will be released next Tuesday, and traders expect 85.55 million acres of soybeans to be planted this spring, an increase of 4.33 million acres from last year.
