Soybean Prices Struggle During Midday Trading

Soybean prices fell by 3 to 4 cents on Tuesday, with the cmdtyView national average Cash Bean price at $9.52 1/4. NASS reported 97% of the U.S. soybean crop had set pods by Sunday, while 21% of the crop was dropping leaves, just 1% behind normal. Nebraska’s soybean progress lags by 19% compared to the 5-year average, followed by North Dakota at 18% and South Dakota at 16%.

Condition ratings decreased by 1% to 64% good/excellent, with the Brugler500 index dropping 1 point to 365. Missouri saw a decline of 9 points, while improvements were noted in Nebraska and Illinois, climbing by 5 and 3 points respectively. Additionally, Canadian canola stocks at the end of July were reported at 1.597 MMT, marking a 50.5% decrease from last year.
