**Soybean Market Update: Gains and Export Challenges**
On Thursday, soybean prices rose by 15 to 17 cents, building on gains of 12 to 14 cents from the previous day. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price increased by 12 cents, reaching $11.39 1/4. Open interest reflected net new buying, with an increase of 15,897 contracts. Meanwhile, Cargill halted exports from Brazil to China due to new sanitary inspection requirements.
The USDA is set to release export sales data later today, with expectations of 250,000 to 800,000 metric tons of soybeans sold for the week ending March 3, along with soybean oil projections ranging between 150,000 to 400,000 metric tons. Soymeal futures have shown gains of 10 to 90 cents, while crude oil has risen by $6.06 this morning.
