The soybean market experienced gains on Monday, with contracts closing 12 to 14 cents higher. The cmdtyView national average cash bean price rose by 12 3/4 cents to $9.58 ¼. November soybean futures averaged a close of $10.17 as the harvest price discovery period for crop insurance approaches its two-week deadline.
U.S. soybean export shipments for the week ending October 16 were tallied at 1.474 million metric tons (MMT), which is 42.9% below the same week last year but 44.9% above the previous week. Mexico was the leading destination, receiving 221,269 MT, followed by Pakistan (167,380 MT) and Bangladesh (166,271 MT). Marketing year exports for 2025/26 total 5.537 MMT, down 30.9% from last year.
Brazil’s soybean crop is currently 24% planted as of Thursday, surpassing the 18% pace from the same week last year.
