On July 25, soybean contracts showed recovery, with prices rising between 4 to 7 ¼ cents. The cmdtyView Cash Bean price increased by 7 ½ cents to $9.95 ¼ per bushel. Soymeal futures were stable to 40 cents higher per ton, while Soy Oil prices gained 53 points.
The U.S. soybean crop is reported to be 84% planted, 4 percentage points ahead of the average. Current ratings indicate 67% of the crop is in good to excellent condition, translating to a score of 370 on the Brugler500 index, down from 379 last year.
In the European Union, soybean imports since July have reached 12.94 million metric tons, slightly up from 12.13 million metric tons last year.
